Butler Tool and Die, Inc. specializes in custom flat surface as well as OD grinding of parts of varied shapes and sizes. We are equipped with specialized grinding machines that allow us to produce flat surfaces with an extremely smooth surface finish.

Butler Tool and Die's flat and OD grinding services are utilized in numerous industries including automotive, aerospace, and tool and die.

Butler Tool and Die is equipped with a Chevalier FSG-1640-AD automatic surface grinder, which has a travel of 16 inches x 40 inches, a Brown and Sharpe #13 grinder, and a Sunnen Hone.

We offer both rotary and push-pull grinding, as part of our grinding services.

Our flat grinding and OD grinding machines are capable of producing very close tolerances of 0.0005 inches parallel and 0.0005 inches flat., and have extensive experience in flat grinding parts made from materials such as brass, stainless steel, aluminum, Teflon, and other metals and non-metals.

Butler Tool and Die has the technical expertise to produce extremely flat, uniform surface finishes, and to remove material from even the hardest steels.
